A Quick Review Of Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D
To be fair, Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D is slightly different from all the other games that you may come across out there. Many games with a racing theme involve cars or trucks (monster trucks seem to be especially popular in recent years), and there is a slew of motorcycle games as well. While Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D doesn't seem to be all that different given its motorcycle theme, the fact that it is Batman’s specialized motorcycle–which has a number of unique capabilities–does give it something of a unique twist.
That being said, there really isn't a lot that makes Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D a radical new departure from the tried-and-proven motorcycle-driven paradigm. Much of the action revolves around Batman racing through four track, with such names as Gotham, Dark Town, Arkham City and Batman Highway.
Ups : Easy steeringAlso adding considerably to the appeal of Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D is how the motorcycle can be controlled. Steering is amazingly easy, and it is quite a thrill to open up the throttle all the way and lean into the curves. The motorcycle is remarkably responsive in even the most challenging maneuvers, and you never feel as if you are out of control. You do lose a bit of speed when hugging the curves, but this is acceptable and adds to the realism of the action.
Downs: Tracks diversityDisappointingly, all four tracks don’t seem to have any marked differences with one another, save for the backgrounds. The difficulty levels are pretty much the same, there is the same number of other drivers in all the tracks, the number of laps is the same, and you are capable of the same maximum speed. The object in all the tracks is also the same, which is to get to the checkpoint before you run out of time.

There are some drawbacks, of course. There are no power-up levels to speak of, and no interaction with any of the other drivers, who are pretty much just for eye-candy. Nevertheless, the excellent graphics and the undeniable fun factor of racing at breakneck speed makes Batman Thrill On Wheels 3D definitely worth checking out.
3D model and PC requirementsAlthough the similarities can make the game seem a bit “samey” after a while, we do have to say that the 3D model in which the game is designed is pretty impressive. The tracks and buildings are rendered pretty well, which is even more impressive given the relatively low CPU demands of the game. In fact, it is even possible to play the game on a lower-spec PC without the glitches that you would normally get with such a visually impressive game.
