You are in Batman Games 2014

Batman finds himself in another extreme adventure episode, to fight off Penguin and his helpers. In this arcade-like platformer you'll get a chance to put Batman to the ultimate test, but without using any of his advanced tech gadgets. See how well the Dark Knight can cope with endless waves of enemies, without the use of any of his neat gadgets from the utility belt.

How to play

Controls are extremely simple. In order to run or jump over the pits and on and off the platforms, you just need arrow keys. To kill the enemy, there's no need for using weapons and bat-gadgets. A well-timed jump on top of ones head would knock the villain down for good. The only catch is that enemies will keep on coming, no matter how many of them you have wasted so far. Like they are coming out of some hi-tech replication machine, The Penguin clones will be all over you most of the time. In case you need a break, 'p' button will put the game into pause mode.

The goal

To pass the level you must run towards right side of the screen, until you reach the bat-signal device. To accomplish that you have 10 lives in total. The overall score is being tracked in the upper part of the screen. Each time you kill one of the villains, including the Penguin, you get another 200 points. You may also collect coins, but they do not add up into the score.

Fight or flight?

Even though the game does look simple, staying alive is no easy task. One careless move and you're down. For better results, maybe you should consider developing certain playing tactic, as sometimes it's far better to avoid the enemy instead of facing each and every one. Remember that Batman is known for rather using his brains than muscles. Since he obviously left his utility belt back in a bat-cave, brains and muscles is all he's got.

Big black birds

Starting from level 3, things get really complicated. Pesky villains start getting close air support. Not only he must fight the villains, but Batman must also avoid contact with big black birds, coming out of the dark randomly to fly over the terrain. On top of that, a heavy rain starts to sweep across and partially reduces visibility.

The ending

After passing 5-6 levels, the game just ends up with the notification that you have won, nothing spectacular really. The player might feel a little bit disappointed after going through all that trouble, but that's how it is.
